How's 2019 treating you all??
Last year was a great one in the beauty world with some great new launches and beauty trends. While the matte lips and blinding highlighters still continue to rock, the glossy-metallic makeup products are being seen getting back into action as well.
I like experimenting with different colours and products but let me admit, I do reach out for my favourite products most of the time.
So, I decided this time I'm gonna go out of my comfort zone and pick products from my stash that I generally don't put my hands on for the simple reason that is..I don't like them!!! Now you may find many of the cult favourite and very popular products in the list, just understand they didn't work for me!
Heading right away to the product list used to create this look:
- Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation - When Wet n Wild was launched in India, all of us were pretty excited to try this much raved, super affordable foundation. But it doesn't do anything good on me. I'm not a fan of it's coverage. Also I've noticed after a while it oxidizes on me. So..thumbs down!
- Maybelline Fit Me Compact - Another loved product in the budget beauty community that didn't work well on me. It doesn't sit well and set my foundation also I find it really drying.
- MUA Pro Mosaic Bronzer - Now this bronzer was created with an attempt to work both as a bronzer and a blush but sadly it fails as both. It is chalky, powdery, doesn't becomes one with the rest of the makeup. It's not really buildable and doesn't even give a contoured look.
- Accessorize Bronzing Block No. - Another dud product that claims to be multi purpose. It says its a bronzer, blush and highlighter all in one...fact...it's neither!!
- Makeup Revolution Eyes Like Angel Palette - It would be wrong to say that I dislike this palette. There are eyeshadows in this that are adorable texture and shade wise. But this isn't a palette without which you can't do and that's the reason why I reach out to this palette the least.
- L'oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara - I'm still figuring out why I can't like this hugely raved dupe of Benefit They're Real Mascara. A part of me believes, that I wasn't sent the legit product because mine clumps real bad and taking it off after a day's work is just too much of a task for a mommy of two. Also everytime I try to remove it with all the oil based cleansers,I loose a few hair from my lashes in the rigorous process..so NOPE not for me!!
- NYX Vivid Brights Eyeliner in Fire - I really wanted to try one of these and went for the shade Vivid Fire. To begin with,it's not the kind of red it appeared on the website. It more of a red-pink and pinks somehow don't go too well with my complexion. Secondly, once it dries it feels like paint on the eyelids. It gives a stretchy and uncomfortable feeling. Thirdly, it looks a little bare when I use just this liner. It would be better to use it over a black eyeliner I guess. Honestly , I can do better with a liquid lipstick used as an eyeliner.
- Oriflame Lip Sensation Matte Mousse in Red Velvet - Well this product isn't hate worthy TBH. But being a comfy matte lip lover, I just don't reach out for glossy lips much. Also this transfer and bleeds and that's what keep me away from it.

Pretty interesting to read.. that loreal mascara didn't work for me either and I'm definitely staying away from the rest
